OOTD || Crackalacking!

Sorry for poor Madagascar title, but I love Marty the Zebra!

I have always loved a bit of supermarket shopping and George is by far my favourite. One of my recent purchases is this lovely Zebra print top. It's advertised as a tunic but it's far too short to wear without jeggins or skinny jeans.

They also have this print as a maternity dress. I like it so much, I might just buy it!

Review || Vita Liberata Capture the Light

A few months ago I was invited to a Blogger Loves event in London. As much as the event was a bit of a let down overall, I was introduced to the luxury tanning and skincare brand Vita Liberata.

Vita Liberata are an Irish based brand that created the world first odourless tan (yey, no smelling like biscuits!), and the worlds longest lasting tan. Their self tan range comes in a host of shades and varieties and is available worldwide. They are also recognised as the world leading non-toxic and organic tanning company.

At the event I attended, I added my name to a blogger list to try some of the range and thought no more of it. Fast forward a couple of weeks and a mysterious package arrived at my door. Much to my surprise it contained a tube of Capturing the Light illuminating cream. I received the Light Rose tint, which is formulated especially for pale skin (also available in other shades).

Vita Liberata Capturing the Light Rose

Designed to illuminate pale skin with rose hues on tanned or untanned skin and for use on the whole body, the capturing the light range promises 'photo ready' skin. One massive thumbs up from me is that it contains SPF25. I burn very easily so a pump of this on my face whilst sitting around the pool (or bar!) will look a million time better than having white sun cream in my hair line, and its moisturising at the same time! Genius!

Although this product is supposed to be for the whole body, I probably will only use it on my face, and possibly my legs if abroad. I am not a fan of shimmery arms, its far too 90ies for my liking.

You only need one pump for you full face, a little does go a long way, and it gives the most beautiful illuminating, almost iridescence cover. I used this with a mattifying primer and a good lashing of mascara and it gave me the most 'healthy glow' look skin I have ever achieved. I think it would also be good as an highlighter just on my cheeks as well.

Can you see the difference? Without on the left, with on the right.

Review || Your just a daisy...

A little over a week ago I was kindly invited to Your Clothing HQ in Peterborough to have a catch up with the lovely Jacqs and Charlotte to discuss Plus North.

After a tour of the building, the three of us set down for a good old chat and the finer points of Plus North. Jacqs and Charlotte are so lovely. They have such a good relationship with bloggers, and I felt as though I had know them for years! We pretty much talked abut everything and anything. Googled hot plus size models and of course, hot men! And most importantly discussed Plus North. We actually talked that much I missed my train home!

I won't go in to too much details of their involvement at the moment, but they will be showcasing their AW14 range and much much more!

Toward the end of my visit I was kindly offered an item or two to review on my blog. One of the items was a bra, which I will show you at a later date, and my second gift was this lovely daisy print dress.

After seeing this dress on Rikke from StickySweetDane (I have a massive girl crush on Rikke) I feel in love with it. I am having a moment with skater dresses. I hated them. Now I love them.

I love that this one has 3/4 sleeves and is a really nice mid weight jersey material which falls really nicely. My only two mehs with this dress is I would prefer the waist band to be under my boobs instead of waist and it was a tad longer so I could wear it without leggings.

Shop Your Stash

This is the 2nd installment of Hollie's Shop Your Stash challenge. Sadly I missed the first one.

This months theme is a summer outfit that I have bought back to life.

Sadly a lot of my clothes are too big for now as I have lost a bit of weight. For some reason I decided to keep this dress. It is a bit big for me, but as it's elasticated around the bust it still works OK.

Originally from New Look inspire I bought this from an Instagram sale, which is a good job, as it looks as though I need to invest in a decent strapless bra. One that doesn't make my boobs wonky or pointy!!

Check out the other awesome bloggers taking part in #Shopyourstash and see what goodies they forget they had.

Event || Oriflame

On Saturday afternoon I was lucky enough to be invited to an Oriflame event held at Living Rooms in Leeds.

I'll be honest with you, I wasn't really aware of Oriflame. I had seen a few bloggers mention it, but never paid much notice to it.

Oriflame is a Swedish based company and works along a similar line as Virgin Vie and Avon. Available in the UK online via consultants, I was really eager to fine out more about this brand as I love makeup and it's very reasonably priced! Oriflame has over 1000 products, all based on natural ingredients, across skincare, makeup, fragrance, body care, hair and much more!

This event was to showcase The One makeup range. The One is split in to three ranges; High Impact, Everyday Beauty and Long Lasting.

Everyday Beauty covers your liquid foundation, which is oil free, a powder foundation and a liquid concealer. High Impact includes Power Shine Lipstick, a creme eye shadow, which doesn't crease, and *THE* most amazing mascara. And Long Lasting, which has an amazing stylo eye liner, and a nail polish that is apparently chip proof for 14 days!

We were also treated to a masterclass from the very very lovely celeb MUA, Gary Cockerill.
He explained to use why he decided to come brand ambassador for Oriflame.

Gary also did a few tutorials on a few of the bloggers. He showed us a lip tutorial, eye shadow tutorial and a lashes tutorial.

I loved the lashes tutorial. It was really good learn tips and how to apply lashes to look more natural.

Gary is an amazing MUA and he is totally self taught.

The goody bag was amazing too. Oriflame kindly gave us some full size products to try!

I am already in love with the mascara and stylo eye liner. I will do a follow up post showing you the products!

I can't thank Oriflame and Faith PR for inviting me!

OOTD // New to me...

I don't know about anyone one else, but at the moment I am obsessed with eBay.

If I want to buy something, or just fancy a browse, eBay is the first place I go.

This is one of my recent bargains. A lovely Simply Be bow print dress.

Simply Be Bow Print Dress

You may remember that Claire Richards of Steps fame wore this endlessly in the CBB house, hence it sold out and is rarely on eBay!

I paid £12 including postage!

I would wear this without leggings too as its a really nice length.

Wednesday Wish List

I have been in a bit of a rut clothing wise recently.

I feel frumpy and horrible in everything, nothing is standing out to me at the moment and I don't seem to be any size at the moment. I returned a whole ASOS and Simply Be order this week, as the items I ordered where either too big or too small!!

I thought I would do a quick wish list and then you can tell me if you like them or not.

Review // Aldi Plus Size Range

On the 8th May Aldi will be launching a plus size range of clothing. I was kindly sent a couple of the items that are in the first drop on the 8th to review.

I was asked what I would like to review and unfortunately they were unavailable so I was send knickers and a top.

The pants are great. Very comfy ribbed cotton with an a thick elastic band at the top so they don't move or fall down. They come in a 3 pack and will be on sale for £3.99 (No size range is stated, but as most items are a size 18-26, I presume these will be available in these sizes too). As a personal preference I would have prefered full pants as briefs often leave the dreaded VPL. (Sorry, no photos of my fat arse in pants!)

I was also sent a top which will be available in sizes 18-26 and in Red, Blue and Mocha. I asked to try a size 20 but received a size 22, which is huge on me, so I don't really feel I can share any photos with you as it is that big on me! I received the top in mocha, which is a horrible colour! I reminds me of baby shi poo.

On the positive side, the material feels lovely and its a good length, especially if you like to cover your bum and belly. The sizing is reallllly generous. The 22 that I was sent would easily fit a 24/26, so the range might fit up to a 28-30 instead of the size 26 stated.

I know Aldi is a budget range and maybe my expectations were too high, but I am really disappointed in the 'style' of the items I have seen so far. Companies like Asda and Primark have proved that 'fashion' can be done on a budget.

Aldi have priced other items higher that Primark too. Take the leggings for example. Aldi price £4.99, Primark Price £3.

And lets not even go down the bra route!! A large back size and cups size up to E just aren't good enough for a plus size range. In fact I don't think I know any plus size ladies that they would fit!

Aldi will also be dropping AW14 too. Items include a pair of jeans, a skirt, a cardigan and 70 denier black tights.

I feel really mean ungrateful now :-(

OOTD || New Look Palm Print Dress

It's been awhile since I bought anything from New Look. They have been pretty hit and miss of late but they have lots of lovely things I want in my wardrobe for the summer.

I was immediately draw to it as it has pockets. Yes, yes, I know, what's the big deal with pockets? I can't explain it, I just love pockets.

This dress is a heavy tshirt material and has an elasticated band that sit under the bust as well as cute cap sleeves. It also washes really real. Sometimes I find that tshirt material gets baggy once you have washed it a few times!

This is definitely an item that will work all summer, if we have one, as it's just about long enough to wear with no leggings. I was tempted to go bared legged on Saturday when I wore this as it was a beautiful day but my tattoo is still healing and peeling so I decided against it!

Review || Marisota Pleat Front Dress

They say save the best until last and that is definitely true with this dress.

This is the last item that Marisota kindly sent me. It's another BESPOKEfit dress. This one is the Pleat front dress.

The dress is a size 20 voluptuous fit (F-GG) and is perfect for me. The length is just right too. It also has POCKETS. Which makes me very very happy indeed!

Marisota Pleat Front Dress

If I hadn't seen this dress on Beth I would have never picked it up and tried it on or fell in love with it. Marisota, PLEASE MAKE DRESS IN ALL THE COLOURS!!!!
